February 3-4 in the frame of the “Orphan Care” project there was a conference “Parenting Wounded Children”. Dave Little was invited as a lector. This was not his first coming to Ukraine as he has already visited the country to lead the seminars for foster families. Though it was difficult to come to the conference because of the sharp frost it has not become an obstacle for the caseworkers from Rivne, Cherkassy, Zaporizhya, Lviv and Khmelnitsky.
Thanks to the illustrations from his own family experience Dave Little succeeded in the interesting and meaningful revealing the theme of the seminar. Four years ago he with his wife adopted 2 girls from Russia who are tough children. The participants of the conference were impressed by the plenty of facts and points of the upbringing process in the Little’s family which is going on now and has already born the fruit. The new approaches and methods in parenting wounded children have also drawn attention. During the seminar there was an active discussion with different question and exchange of experience. When leaving everyone was satisfied with what they heard and took home the materials for the further cooperation with foster families.
"Dear Dave, Thank you for one of the best seminars I listened to on the subject of fostering. The materials and presentation in Lviv were great. You've invested lots of your heart into the ministry. I appreciate your commitment. I continued to search on trauma on-line and find it worthwhile. Many blessings in the Lord to your wife and kids". Love in Him, Sergiy and Valya Sobko"
